Three Amazing Videos: Death, Waves, and Wisdom

This is post #800. Yay for me.

Franz Reichelt, an inventor and falling mustache, managed to kill himself by trying to use a parachute suit that he made out of sticks and what looks like the heaviest material he could find. Reichelt wanted (apparently very strongly) to develop a suit for aviators that would convert them into Batman and allow them to survive a fall should they be forced to leave their aircraft. Initial experiments conducted with dummies dropped from the fifth floor of his apartment building had been successful, but he was unable to replicate those early successes with any of his subsequent designs. So for reasons that are unclear to everyone, On 4 February 1912, he decided to test one of his suits himself, thus proving that it is possible to be too confident. Way too confident.

Next, we have massive waves in Lake Superior, smacking Duluth, Minnesota. It's beautiful and awesome. Enough said.

And finally, I say something intelligent.
